Data deletion
What gets deleted
Your household's story, activity times, rules, helpers, settings and any pictures are deleted. We also destroy the key that protects your household's names, camera names, Ring identifiers and the text of your stories. Backup copies of those encrypted items cannot be read without it, and all backup copies, including any copy of the key held in a disk snapshot, expire within 15 days.
- The daily story and activity times.
- Rules, away and pause dates, and settings.
- Helpers and their invitations.
- Pictures and their descriptions, if you turned them on.
How to delete
Sign in, open Settings → Privacy & data, and choose Delete this household. You'll type the household name, confirm it's you, and have 24 hours to change your mind.
Removing Waloca in Ring
You can also remove Waloca in Ring My Apps in the Ring app. That starts the same deletion.
